History of Grace Place

In 2008, while Daniel was attending his 2nd year at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry located in Redding, CA, he began overseeing a house of students. Over the course of time, the Lord put it on his heart to meet with each student on a regular basis for the purpose of pouring into them and seeing their lives get transformed. This was the beginning of Grace Place.  Desiring to help the students walk in their God given identity, Daniel has continued to improve the program, by adding weekly family nights, events such as preach day and prophetic-evangelism, and retreats at the beginning and end of the year.

In 2012, Daniel expanded the program to include a 1st Year and 2nd Year program.  The next year in 2013, Daniel established a second house for 1st Years.  In 2014, once again he expanded to include the first ever 1st Year girls' house.  Grace Place has grown beyond its one-house origin to become a community with a 1st year guys' house and a 1st year girls' house, a 2nd year guys' house and a 2nd year girls' house, and a 3rd year guys' house and a 3rd year girls' house. We are excited to see what lies ahead and all that God is going to do in the years to come!

Our Core Values

Grace

“Unmerited divine favor; Receiving what we do not deserve”

John 1:16,17
“For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

Integrity

“Adherence to moral and ethical principles, displaying character at all times; honesty”

I Chronicles 29:17a
“‘I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity.’

Honor

“Displaying high respect; to esteem or revere; to regard with great value”

Romans 12:10
“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

Excellence

“A state of surpassing far above and beyond expectations or standards; possessing outstanding quality or superior merit”

Psalm 1:1-3
“God blesses those people who refuse evil advice and won’t follow sinners or join in sneering at God. Instead, the Law of the Lord makes them happy, and they think about it day and night. They are like trees growing beside a stream, trees that produce fruit in season and always have leaves. Those people succeed in everything they do.”

Teachability

“A conscious decision to be taught by another; capacity to be instructed; moldable.”

Proverbs 12:15
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.

Servanthood

“A constant state of serving, supporting, and preferring others selflessly”

Matthew 20:26-28
“‘This is the Kingdom’s logic: whoever wants to become great must first make himself a servant; whoever wants to be first must bind himself as a slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as the ransom for many.”

Thankfulness

“A state of appreciation, full of friendly expressions of gratitude and honor”

I Thessalonians 5:16-18
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Humility

“A state of modesty, meekness, or courteous respect”

Philippians 2:3,4
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

Love

“An intense feeling of deep affection”

I Corinthians 13:4-8
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

Surrender

“The act of yielding to the possession or power of another; to give up, abandon, or relinquish.”

Philippians 2:5-7
“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.”

Faith

“Confidence, trust, or belief in a person or thing with no proof”

Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Hope

“Confident expectation of good; to believe, desire, or trust.”

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Generosity

“Readiness in giving; giving abundantly, over and above the expected amount”

II Corinthians 9:6,7
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Peace

“Uninterrupted freedom from disturbance; untroubled; tranquil; contentment.”

Romans 8:6
For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Nehemiah 8:10 – “Nehemiah said, ‘Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.’

Joy

“A state of great pleasure or happiness due to internal belief and posture, not external factors”
